400 gallon first reef build super newb

Unfortunately it's 1.5 inch and the others are 1 inch I have to make do what I got I'll send a pic in a little bit of the underneath
ok, perfect - so looks like main, secondary, and emergency (on the right). You'll likely need a 1.5" gate valve (top left of your sump) to control flow. BRS links here - yes, they are expensive!

Also, I hope you have room in the back (or sides) for the 2 return lines. You're going to run 1.5" each and then reduce to 2 x 1"? Do you have the pumps yet?

oh btw: you'll have varying heights of those pipes inside the overflow box right?
Main (1.5"): lowest
Secondary (1"): medium
Emergency (1"): highest

I have one of the pumps
Gotta buy the second one for the clothes loop and they are the low-voltage I forget the name I know they're the best ha ha eco something LS
I heard gate valve was optional because I can change the speed on the pumps thanks for all the info and the pumps 11/4" output each and will tee off for 1 inch in each corner

Closed loop: I don't think you're doing a closed loop system. That's when you'll drill additional holes (half way or bottom of tank) and feed the drain directly to the pump and then return it to the tank -- hence "closed loop". I'm personally against closed loops systems -- one bad bulk head and you can potentially drain 50-100% of your water! I prefer overflows - peace of mind. I believe you'll have 2 pumps inside the rightmost chamber of the sump?

I would ask your mentor but for return pumps, I typically run 90-100%. Just keep it simple and manually dial in the rate of flow down the drain. My 2c

Return pump brand: if it has the word "Eco", perhaps it's a Royal Exclusiv Red Dragon Eco xxx? I used to run 2 of them, RE Red Dragon Eco 130w. Post a pic and we can help.

Yes Im doing a closed loop with two pumps and four supplies to the tank
I am using two pumps for the sump to prevent problems if failure

If that’s the case, they are not called “closed loop”. 🙂

That's exactly what I am doing maybe you misunderstood something that I said I have two in-line pumps that draw water for the aquarium and then return

I have two PVC 1 1/2" pipes
That will exit the top of the aquarium up and over down around to the pump
And then an inch and a quarter line will tee off into 2- 1 inch PVC 90s in each corner of the tank so one pump does the 2- 90s on one side and the other pump does the 2-90s on the other side

Interesting- I didn’t see that yet so will wait until you get that plumbed.

We got this? JK, it's to late to turn back now!!! Just think of all those pretty Tangs cruising the open waters:-)

But if you want Red Dragons I won’t say no. In fact it's best for the poor little fishy’s and critters and what not that you get two of those. May have to sell a car to pay for them though?

Aquascape about done

I love the aquascape of your tank!

Thank you my master showed me the techniques how to glue altogether and it was actually pretty simple designing it especially since I had a centerpiece that needed to be covered the overflow box and I decided to make that like the focal point

Started the PVC black plumbing pipes
Purchased the reef flakes and filled er up
Also purchased the seven stage R/O system
I'm hoping by August 7 I can get water in here
