After a few years he'll be like "what did he say? That's gonna cost him 20k more..."
"We need to go over this change order and how it is going to require an amendment to our initial contract. As I'm sure you know, this will add a substantial net increase to the project cost."

That's right!!!

One thing I learned leaving corporate america and doing my own thing is that we waste our potential by NOT doing so. There's no problem with spending a number of years at a company and getting good at what you do, but after you reach that point, you need to be collecting the checks and not being thrown a cookie like a good dog.

Really, it's the difference between paying the bank and the bank paying you.
Boss makes a dollar i make a dime.. and all that jazz haha time to make my own dollars! Then I can get the 8' tank i want... hahaha

Yup! It's a fact.

When you're the guy in charge things will change in ways you wont even believe.
And if you put your money in the right spots instead of partying right away, you wont have to work for long.
So when you retire, you're still fresh, uninjured and can enjoy yourself.

Hopefully pass out on to the son of he's interested. That's the current thought process at least, but that's a long ways down the road

I generally agree with all of that. But in my line of work I will never be the guy in charge. I actually don't want to be the guy in charge as this industry is a massive headache to deal with from an ownership standpoint. I have however, carved out a nice little niche where I can make a decent living without overly exerting myself. I've also got a lot of autonomy so if I want to take days off or something I don't even have to ask. I just mark out my calendar and that's it. I'm pretty close to being self employed without actually being self employed.

That's fine too! As long as you feel that whatever you do is doing you and your life justice, then it's not any less good.

Grunchford McDingleheimer over here is being spiteful because I told him it's too late to go to the dog park.

He's PO'd so he just pulled my hoodie and car keys onto the floor.😂
And this is his face of defiance. I'm dead serious.

He's basically telling me "I threw your stuff on the floor, so what are you gonna do now?"

I think I need to put him in a headlock and bite his face until he screams like a B.
But if I get up quick, he'll run. I have to surprise him.

You know how they say dogs take after their owners? Pure slander!!!
This fool was crazy since day one.

My gifs and emojis were broken yesterday so I couldn't have a grand entrance. A fine entrance was all I could muster at the time.

It's a good shop. They had a great selection of Eyphillia if you're interested in Torches and Hammers. Most I've ever seen there. Said he had more Torches in the back still to frag but probably 5-6 different kinds on display. I've been on the lookout for a nice Frogspawn but nobody seems to have any of those anywhere. All my locals have been out for months.
Same here! Frogspawn is definitely getting harder to find these days!

It's the only way I'm doing it. I quit 8 years ago.

I got tired of people calling me constantly when I was trying to eat dinner or take a shower.
A lot of these companies have zero respect. I got fed up one day turned everything in and left.
I have 19 months left and can retire with a pension....holding on for dear life at this point!!! 🤣

Ok, so I sat on mounting the rest of my corals because It would just look stupid if I put them all at the top of sparse rockwork, and I've had some fish aggression lately too which I am attributing to not enough hidey holes and whatnot.

One of my red belted anthias has become a real jerk. And it's not even like he's some alpha male...he's more like a beta punk who needs a foot in his keester. So I did what any sensible and responsible reefer would do and add a lyre tail and a larger orange that are both his size.🤣

I need color and activity right, so there's that. Let's see how this goes. If not, that redbelt may receive a stunning blast of air from my pellet rifle. I can't have a fish like that acting up in my tank. Sometimes my melanurus snaps, but I dont think he attacks like this fish does. He's getting me annoyed and if he keeps it up...

The new fish are hiding for the night and with extra rock, they have more space to do so.

I put my a. gemmifera, my judge judy millepora, my green slimer and my rainbow rommel (rainbow rommel? I mean come on man!) up on new rock and into higher light like they need.

Only SPS I have unmounted is my Anacropora and I'm unsure what I want to do with that yet.

I have no pics because the lights are out, but that will happen in the AM.
I'm going to need to pick up some turbos too because I am seeing hair algae in places.

But everything is good so more to come manana!

Ok, so I've been screwing around elsewhere and not updating my thread man! hahaha

Here's what I'm looking like. I added that beautiful Lyre Tail Anthias and the Orange too. They are super healthy fish that have been at my LFS for like 2 months. They're eating real good. They had mysis twice today. They don't even respond to pellets.

The lighter pink anthias down below them is a red belted. His colors seem to have faded because that Lyre Tail isn't putting up with his crap which is exactly what I wanted. earlier today the lyre went after him and nipped him a few times real good. Things have really quieted down with the aggression since then. 😇

Corals are all doing great. I have to work on my shots, but I'm about to start playing with my macro lens....on my phone. lol

My diamond goby seems to be building an underground nuclear facility under the left side of my rocks.

Oh and I'm about to "invest" (hahaha) in some more corals. Some nice ones.

I don't know what else to say. I'm tired. LOL
