looks very neat, following along.Threw in some some carbon and a ghetto rigged filtration system till I get things moving along more. Waiting on more salt and more sand.
I'm actually trying to do a native habitat. Fish and inverts I can collect down here locally. However I'm sure I'll give in to the odd fish or 2 I've always wanted that I can't keep in my reef tank.looks cool
do you have plans for fish if not you could do garden eels
I'm planning on adding a side mounted fuge/sump above the pond that will overflow down into the pond.looks very neat, following along.
What is the plan for the permanent filtration setup? Layout?
cheers, Tony
No, not really. The patio doesn't get much water in that area. Not unless there will be a leak in the pond. Which if thats the case, I'll have bigger problems. LolLooking good. I see you didn’t use pressure treated for the bottom. Your not concerned with moisture from patio possibly rotting your 2x6’s?
Just seeing this thread, but really looking forward to seeing the progression of this build! Totally a dream systemWow, haven't updated this thread in a while. It is however still in the works. After a bout with covid during the holidays, and then just "life" stuff, things got side tracked. In the mean time, the pond has been running, and have been slowly bringing up the salinity.
Scored a good amount of rock this weekend so aquascaping should begin shortly.

Gulf and South East FL inhabitants. The Atlantic side has more selection when it comes to ornamentals.Your crazy! Lol
Way to follow your dreams and go for it. You will collect gulf inhabitents?
D
Anyone have any ideas or threads on hollow rock structures? I'm thinking to put a milk crate or two as a hollow structure so and then place the rock on and around that. And that's for 2 reasons, it will allow me to use less rock, and it will also make for a hollow area for the fish to swim through. I don't want to make it look tacky though. Any ideas?
