I figured I'd get this thread started since I'm starting to receive some of the equipment.

Tank is a SCA starfire (36" x 24" x 12")...ETA mid March

Skimz UP30 sump

Vertex Omega 130 skimmer (grabbed it while BRS had them marked down to $199)

Waveline DC6000 return pump

A pair of Rossmont M900 powerheads, interested to see how these will work out

ATI Sunpower T5, 6 bulb, 36"

A pair of Finnex titanium heaters

The current plan is to set it up for low to med light, low to med flow LPS and maybe some softies. I've pretty much run out of room on the sand in the 66g tank. Once everything is moved the 66g will be SPS focused.

A little sneak peak...

looking good! Is that an ATO reservoir on the left of the sump? My rossmont pumps ended up being my salt mixing pumps in buckets. Actually, they're mixing salt for me as I write this :) I forgot which models they are but I bought them I think 2-3 years ago and I know they have gotten bigger and better.

Thanks, yeah it's the reservoir. Not sure how practical it'll be...it's only 2 gal.

I'm hoping with the waver controller the pumps will be just right for the tank. BRS said they'd work great on the tank dimensions.

I think with your tank dimensions being 12" tall it should be good. Mine is taller and it ended up not being as much flow as I wanted and algae started growing on the sand bed.

Just saw the Sustainable Aquatics giveaway...that would be perfect for the tank!

All these goodies and no tank to put them in. :-( The tank is ready but the cabinet builder SCA uses is behind...it was supposed to be here last week but has yet to ship out.

Thanks...my corals are probably saying the same thing. Got all my acans and blastos and plates all crammed in together on the sand.

Got a little progress made on Sunday. Waiting for a few more items so I can finalize the plumbing this week.

Is this good enough for level?? Hopefully when I do the leak test it'll stay level. :)

Looking good at that is perfectly level. It'll definitely straighten out more with all the weight from the water
