hello Everyone !

As you all know how this hobby works , new house means bigger tank! I finally feel like this tank is worthy of a build on here . After seeing aqua forest 912g and Eastwood aquariums tank ,I fell in love with the shallow minimalistic look . This tank will be predominantly sps with a few lps corals. My vision for this tank is to have a thriving SPS reef while keeping everything as simple / energy efficient and affordable as possible . This build will also feature in my fathers 1000g build . I hope you all enjoy this journey with me .

-Tank - 96x48x24(480g)
-Sump - 72x36x18 (200g)
-Lighting - (2) 6x54 (2) 4x54 ati sunpowers
-Return pumps - 2 Reeflo dart/snapper hybrids (3600 gph each )
-Flow - the tank is drilled for 4 1 inch sea swirls on each corner .
- 2 maxspext gyre xf 280
-Skimmer - Reef octopus regal 300 int
-Doser - GHL profilux
- controller - Neptune apex
- rodi - spectrapure maxcap 180gpd

The tank will dosed using aqua forest balling method and a large refugium for nutrient export.

Can’t wait to see this build!
Is that an acrylic tank?
I can’t decide between glass and acrylic but I’m guessing you went with acrylic due to the size of it..

The tank is 1 inch thick all the way around with a 6 inch eurobrace . I wanted to overbuild the tank because I go out to sea 4 months at a time and the last thing I want is a tank leak for my wife .

My tank was just built last week , my fathers tank was built by him when we owned a fish store in the early 2000s

so you bought the tank used?
Their will be 2 tank builds in this thread , mainly my shallow 480 but will feature my fathers 1000g. Sorry for the confusion . The 1000g was built my dad in the early 2000s and has been sitting in his garage for years.
