Head over to Aquatic Marine and pick up some LRS (Larry's Reef Frenzy). Not sure what you are feeding, but this food is incredible, especially for finicky eaters, like butterflies. It is also super clean food, you can overfeed and not end up with phosphate / nitrate issues. My fish eat it out of my hand and I rarely feed pellet or other frozen brands anymore, other than PE mysis. AM is the only local store I'm aware of that carries it, it's expensive but worth every penny.

Well, I should say, overfeeding isn't as bad as other brands, try not to overfeed lol.

Thanks for the kind words! When compared to other high-end specialty foods on the market LRS should should be very cost competitive. We also offer an 8 oz pack at a price point very close to other brand's 6 and 7 ounce packages. The LRS lineup is getting a facelift so look for our new package labels to hit stores later this month. It is quite a change so I figured I would give a heads up.

So the diatom out break I think has ended. I actually had the bright idea to increase the light intensity by 50%, from %40 to 90% and the diatoms disapeared within two days. Who ever thought more light would equal less algea. I just read some where diatoms don't like high intensity light and thought I'd try it, it works.

Tank update still taking it slow as I'm on a budget. But with 0 nitrates and near 0 phosphates tanks looking great. I've been holding off on coral till I have some spare cash. My refugium cheato is growing like mad. And i have pods out to wazoo.

I'm contiplating selling and geting a reefer nano 21 gal tank. I think it would be cheaper and better financially and this tank takes up a lot of space.
Oppinions??
