Hey guys! So my tank has been up for maybe a year and change now. First ever tank, it’s a 5 gallon marineland. It’s definitely been interesting getting into this hobby with a tank this small but i’ve gotten it to the point where it’s pretty stable.. even while being away constantly for a month at a time. Now i’m wondering what I should do with the top section of the rock work. I’ve always wanted it to be a euphyllia garden.. maybe with hammers and frogspawn. The dream would be a torch garden, but not sure how feasible that would be in a tank this small. What do y’all recommend? The acro i have up there has also been doing pretty well. Par should be around 200-250 there.

5 gallons for a torch is pretty small... Can it be done? Yep! Keep in mind a torch can send out sweepers that are 2"-3".

Also, I'm thinking the Acro is actually an Anacropora?

Ah yup you’re probably right about the anacropora. Looked it up looks just like it. And yeah I was worried about those sweepers.. and the amount of light. So guess that leaves hammers or sticks..

Gonis or Alveopora could be another option? Nice colors, good movement similar to torches?

Following along because I recently got this same tank that I'm seriously considering setting up as a second pico. What upgrades if any did you do?
