It’s a mantis shrimp!Thank you :) I noticed that there are 2-3 bumblebee snails, which I believe is a good news. But they’re very very tiny. Also, I saw such shrimp, does anyone know what’s that?

Do I need to feed it with something? I just added an algae waffle and I have some little pellets for shrimps (from my freshwater tank). Will it survive? It’s a mantis shrimp!
Frozen food would be best, like mysis or other commercial frozen foods. A sheet of mysis is like $7 at petco and I would assume the mantis only needs like 1/4 cube a day (But I’m not a mantis shrimp expert)Do I need to feed it with something? I have two tectus snails, hopefully they consume the hair algaeExciting! Do you have a clean up crew working on the algae? You wouldn't want your corals to be choked out.![]()
Well, that’s not good. I didn’t actually feed it with anything, so if it’s still alive it means it found another food source. Let’s see how it goes hopefully it doesn’t touch my snails.Nice live rock start!
The mantis will kill all snails, crabs, other shrimp, and strike fish if they get to close.
When you hear clicking its trying to smash somthing to eat.
They are best kept in species only systems. I fed mine pieces of shrimp until I was able to catch and remove it from my 150.
Mantis will eat snails if there is nothing else. I would feed it if you want to keep it but in that small of a system nothing will stand a chance. There is nowhere to hide.Well, that’s not good.
