I knew these things were aggressive but it continues to surprise me every night.....by morning it is just a mass of sweepers. Fortunately the currents keep them away from my Hammers and Torch.

Nice shot!
I wish I had some pics of a chalice I had years ago. I could not figure out how things were getting stung. One night I watched and this thing had like 12" stinger tentacles. Crazy long! I had to get rid of it cuz even in my 210 it was killing things all over. It was big though. At least 8 inches in diameter.

It is nuts to see these animals warfare.

I had one of my little gorg frags fall on a frogspawn colony of maybe 5 heads. I had to have caught it within 12 hours (the next morning) and the frogspawn was gone within a day. Crazy stuff.

My Space Invaders pectinia has the longest sweepers in my tank. :)

Mine was the same way, I couldn't figure out why some of my acans were showing recession until I saw this one night. I ended up getting rid it, pretty coral though...

Yeah I was careful to place it where I knew it would be somewhat safe. I did figure out that the stronger the flow, the shorter the sweepers. Now that I moved it to where it is at in the picture (directly below the Gyre), they are crazy long lol.

Space Invader Pectina decided to take on a rock nem and it was unclear who was "winning" when I decided to break it up...the nem was not letting go of the sweeper!

Pretty crazy......if I had to guess, I would think the nem would win...although the Pectina is cheating and attacking from a safe distance lol.
