The whole time I've been planning this tank the ideas was that I would just build a stand and canopy. However my wife insisting that I build her a new headboard has reminded me how much I absolutely hate woodworking. Guess that means I'll be paying someone to build them for me. So far I've requested my LFS get me a quote from Planet Aquariums. Anyone know anyother suppliers and what's a reasonable price I should expect to pay?

I went ahead and ordered a stand from planet aquariums. Should be here in a week or 2. I'll probably build the canopy, haven't decided. Hopeing for some good memorial day sales so I can scoop up a sump, return and skimmer then we will be off to the races.

Looks good. I'm following along. I won the same tank at my local frag swap a few months back. It's a nice tank. I'm going to start setting it up in the next few weeks. Keep the updates rolling in.

Decided to go ahead and order the canopy to match my stand. It took over 3 months but finally got it.
I've been procrastinating for the past 6+ months but finally decided to start some plumbing today. I'm still trying to figure out how it has taken 10 hours to accomplish it. Figu

re I'll let the cement set overnight and do our first (and hopefully only) leak test tomorrow after work.

I've had a 180, 210, 120, 32 and I have to say that my current 60 cube is my favorite. It was the 120 because of the footprint but the 60 I think is a perfect size. Nice build.

As sad as it may sound it's actually been my dream tank for several years. I've been requesting quotes from different builders for well over a year. I finally got a quote back that was to good to pass up.
Can you share the company? Also I had a Marineland. Cracked on me. How is this tank doing?

I ended up going with planet aquariums. Most LFS can order them but do shop around, I saved right at $500 by not going with the first quote. Tank is going great, loaded with frags just waiting for them to grow out.

I ordered my replacement rimless (bought her used, covered in coralline about 4 months ago...that was a mistake) from Glass Cages...not many places doing 60g rimless cubes these days :(

Is your tank low iron glass? Pretty great price imo

No, I couldn't justify the price difference.
