Roger,
I have a 6095 pump that seems to have stopped working. How do I test it to see if the pump is bad or the controller?
Thanks,
Lowell

I assume from the question that you know power is OK?
Power is indicated on the controller via lights. Pump stopped working and pulsing on the same power circuit as the skimmer and auto top off which was running. Pump and components are very clean with no visible problem with impellor. Controller shows pump on/off settings with indicator light but pump does not run. It will almost pulse but does not make any revolutions during pump cycle.

So the impeller does move, just not enough to complete a revolution?

It may "twitch" at the beginning of the power cycle but no revolution. I can turn by hand. No apparent damage to impellor on inspection. I was wondering if I could hook it up to a battery just to see if it will turn or if I can send it in for repair or replacement to Tunze?
I just realized it is a 6105 with a 7091 single controller.

@rvitko
Roger,
I have a 6105 with a 7109 controller that has stopped working. How do I test to see if pump or controller is bad?

I usually start with physical inspection, I open the controller, look for loose wires at the pump connector, water damage and any overheat/burn damage to the controller. Short of that the next step is to try a known good 7090 on the motor. If you don't have a known good 7090 I would send it in.

Thanks Roger,
I will make an inspection first but what is the address to send in the controller if I need repair?
