Moved my clowns to a bucket with chloroquine phosphate. Hope they will be fine.

It's hard to find Seachem Ammonia Alert badge in Ukraine, so I may not be able to check for ammonia. On the other hand, chloroquine phosphate cost me just two dollars at the first pharmacy on the way home :)

By the way, my serpent starfish lost 1-2"of all tentacles this night.

I'm really curious what might be behind it. I have one banggai and two pajama cardinals, two glue-green chromises, azure damsel and red fire shrimp.

Finally, my pumps have arrived :) It took a month to deliver them directly from Germany (to Ukraine).

By the way, I was really impressed by the price difference between Germany and US. This stuff costs you twice as much at BRS ;Sorry Nothing wrong for sure, just a fact. On the other hand, Apex and EcoTech prices are sky-high here in Europe :)

Freed up some space for a sump that comes in tomorrow.

I will add small doors to hide this cable hell some day.

So, I've got my custom made sump shipped. It's acrylic, 20x20x12" with huge fuge chamber in front.

And this is easily one of the WORST tanks I've ever seen :(

The "quality" of this thing is so frustrating, I doubt it can hold water long term :(

Dimensions are off and it's glued like this:

Bottom panel is scratched:

There are air gaps inside seams, side to side:

Bubbles everywhere, there is literally no a seam without bubbles:

What's the hell is that??

It's so bad, just a piece of crap :( Total disappointment.

Ugh. Nothing worse than that. One issue, sure, but really? The whole thing is in question. Sorry to see.

My sump is finally filled with water.

I was running a tank seven weeks without WCs and filtration. Nitrates should be sky-high, but I don't care much since I have no corals.

Fuge section is filled with rock rubble, Seachem Matrix, Eheim SUBSTRAT pro and some ceramic rings. No specific reason, just put everything I had :)

Still no skimmer, I hope chaeto will do the job for now.

Bought myself new nitrate test kit yesterday to see how my reef is doing after two months w/o filtration :) Not so well as I had hoped, it looks like 50ppm to me :)

Just out of curiosity, I've compared results against my old, expired since 2015 test kit of the same vendor. The difference is quite impressive, old one looks much closer to 25ppm. That's probably the reason, why those test kits have expiration dates on them :)

P.S. By the way, Salifert sucks. It's impossible for me to read the value lower than 10.

Seeding coralina algae into sump. There are two reasons I'm seeding sump and not display.

Firstly, my sump still has much more suitable lighting. And secondly, I don't trust my blue tuxedo urchin :) Chances are, I won't be able to grow coralina in display any time soon.

Current FTS.

Tank is doing well, given the circumstances (sky-high nitrates and zero water changes). There are few patches of green algae my tuxedo urchin is happy to devour. And every well-lit spot is covered with cyano :)

Cyano doesn't bother me, because it's normal. I know why it's here and how to get rid of it if needed, so I just let it be for now. Actually, I even like it (to a degree), looks so natural :)

All fishes look fine, no signs of ich. My fire shrimp never leaves its cave, serpent star looks decent (still has to regenerate its legs).

I'm happy :)
