Yes, glue the PVC into the bulkhead, also suggest putting a union on the pipe just below the bulkhead, 2 or 3 inches, in case you ever need to remove the overflow or the pipe for whatever reason.

How did the plumbing turn out? I bought a Marine Depot Elite Small for my 75 gallon and looking for the best way to plumb it. Unfortunately I’m everyone’s YouTube videos they speed the video up when plumbing lol

I ended up plumbing the overflow with pvc and it seems to be holding up quite well!
