Well about 4 years ago I started my journey on the reef addiction path with a 54 gallon corner RR tank (https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/tru-reef-54-gallon-build.231895/#post-2700929) and it did amazing for my 1st reef tank. As the addiction grew so did my corals. So as all my corals and fish out grew the 54 corner () I was forced to go bigger. Now at the time I was in an apartment on the 3rd floor and pushed it with the 54 so what was next that wouldn’t be a strain on the joist below, but bigger for the reef. A 75 gallon it is that did pretty good I might add (). But nothing like the 54 in my opinion. It was rushed and not quite to my satisfaction even though it still looked good. So to wrap it up at work one day me and my friend found this awesome deal for a 7ft none RR used tank online.Dimensions are 84.750L*20.500w*27.0H. Mind u neither of us had a place to put it at the time. Never mind that, So we pulled the trigger. Knowing it would be a challenge we all welcomed. I ended up with it in the end. Thanks Jake & B. It was running once we picked it up and after sat with water in a storage for a month so we know it doesn’t leak. Being used and all that’s always a concern. So without further ado here is the recreated reborn reformed 7ft 212 GALLOOOON Buuiilldd!! Haha.

You just motivated me to do the same. It's a great site and I've gotten a lot out of it. Time to give back.

@Tru REEF - Nice Mixed reef tank! I 100% agree that your Zebrasoma xanthurum purple tang will be loving life in your new 212!
Care to share what was all under your hood for the 75-gallon display before you upgraded? DID you have a Calcium Rector running etc?

@FLSharkvictim Curing & Recuring Live rock? It won’t be exciting but I’m thinking Time and Patience If u have both u can’t go wrong with a reef tank. Speaking from a guy who only buys dry rock Carib sea purple to be exact I don’t mind waiting for my dead rock to become live again to avoid unwanted pest. Which still sneaks through. So next would be preventive care. Hope this can help.

@Tru REEF - If I wrote the Article mate it would interesting b/c I would add a lot of details and illustrations and not just cover recurring, I would cover all different kinds of Live rock that was ones available to us in the very early 90's - like Old School Tonga Branches, Marshall Island Live rock which is my favorite and much more. I first started in this hobby in 1991 when I become a certified diver. I know all about how to re-cure. It's called Patients! Actually, I am in the process recuring 50lbs of some Old School Ultra Premium Fiji that I bought in 2004 before Fiji was banned for all export, meaning you can longer get this rock anywhere unless you bought some a very long time ago. Since I am going with a Mianlistic type Aquascape for the new 150 build b/c this time around, I am aiming for an all SPS Dominate Type system. Feel to follow my thread below.

Going on my 4 weeks of cycling this Fiji and my Ammonia testing at around 0 - .1 ish! I have to test the Nitrates but this rock I think is ready to go as soon as I get my #Synergy CL-44 sump on Tuesday!!! BOOOOM!!!

So I’ve decided to use a JEBAO product on this build. Anything they make for aquariums this one will have it. I hope they sponsor me soon. Haha

I have a few Jebao products. All work very well... Loved the video in the first post! What is that all blue camera hogging fish with all the personality? I like him a LOT!

My Niger Trigger he was very healthy and he some how shimmer with that blue color. Sad to say I lost him with the move because I put him in a plastic bag not thinking he had teeth. Long story short he bit the bag water leaked out and it was a 45 min drive. Forgot he had teeth.
