Finally got my 90 gal tank up and running. I have been slowly piecing it together since september and today i got to plug it all in! There have been a few bumps along the way but i couldnt be happier with how it came out. And a big thanks to my friends who helped me get the stuff done.
90 gallon aqueon aquarium drilled by myself
Solid pine stand built by myself
Dual t5 light until i get some corals in there next month which then ill switch over to the 2, ai hydra 32hd lights i have still in boxes.
40 gallon aqueon aquarium converted to a refugium using a modular marine refugium kit. Modular marine 1200 gph over flow box. 50lbs caribsea natural reef sand, 80lbs caribsea reef rock. Siccie xstream powerhead, aqamai powerhead, aqueon 300 watt heater, siccie dc return pump, eshopps s-200 protein skimmer and using a hanna digital refractometer and tropic marin sea salt mixed with ro/di water from a BRS 75 gpd unit. The project started with thoughts of a 40 gal reef with a 40 gal sump. After purchasing 1, 40 gal tank i decided to upgrade the main tank to a 75 gal. After attempting to drill a 75 and watching it shatter into a million pieces i ultimately upgraded to a 90. I am very happy with how everything came out and happy that i broke the bank and got all the high end equipment. My favorite part about this tank is its almost dead silent!
