907 Tank & Stand Build - 55 Gallon

What's sad is he got the same one as me and his is going beautiful it looks like. I think I spent too much time tweaking it instead of letting it do what it's made to do.
Sometimes we are our own worst enemy :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

My print with some peeling here (and some layer adhesion), 205 first layer (200 others), .3 mm layer height (all). Having better output in general with .2mm but made some adjustments to this design to try and shave some print time.. (~ 7 hrs for the base). This is Creality "Fast" PLA, white prints above are sample filament and blue is Creality "Hyper" PLA, for reference. Same temp settings for all.

I watched and let it run and finished OK anyway for this purpose. Wife saw a picture of a "FAFO" printed street sign (IYKYK) and wanted it sooo, sold LOL. Fun learning design experiment.

I would add a brim if/when I print that again and maybe .2mm. Switched back to .2mm for the sign mounts, no temp changes, came out great:

Post is also .3mm layer height, but only 1mm thickness on the tube design, there is some ("striping"? Would you call it?), current assumption is standard nozzle movement vs thin 1mm wall thickness (?). Dunno yet, learning as we go..

Some marking on the top layer of the base as well but is the only attempt on this piece so far.

Green filament for signs arrives Tuesday :grinning-face-with-big-eyes:

So hooked.

I don't use a brim, I use the other thing that just draws a circle around the print project - I can't remember what it's called right now. If you're having bed adhesion on bigger prints maybe do a slower first layer and add 5 or 10 degrees to the bed for that layer.

Skirt! (I'm learning :grinning-face-with-big-eyes: )

I should note this unit has done an excellent job with brims and supports OOTB, easy to remove, etc.

Agree slower and warmer, + brim (and maybe .2mm layers) would be my targeted tweaks for that print.

That's the one!

Buy it!! Life’s too short not to!

Might actually be 'better' than new since it has been tested and comes with the full warranty.

Yep, could very well be. I bought my current lawn tractor as "refurbished" from Lowes. Dude put 1 hour on it, returned with a "smells like fuel", I assume "wife rejected", and 35% off I've been running it for 4 years. Never know!

And, welcome to the little thread here :grinning-face-with-big-eyes:
