Hello everyone. Long time no see :) Through my trials and tribulations, I have learned a lot about this hobby, and I am now ready to apply that knowledge to my first large tank build. I started with a few small tanks in my dorm, but now with my apartment, I am ready to take a step and make my 90-gallon dream tank! Starting with an already established setup, here is the equipment list.

Equipment:
90 gallon tank - 48"Lx18"Wx24"H
Eshopps Skimmer
Filter Roller
UV sterilizer
Planned --> Refugium, GFO/carbon Reactor

As for fish, I have 2 tanks, each with fish, that I will slowly add to the new tank and hopefully combine both tanks. The stocking list is as follows -

Fish:
2x Ocellaris Clownfish
Midas Blenny
Royal Gramma
Bristletooth Tomini Tang
Geometric Pygmy Hawkfish
Watchman Goby
Mandarin Dragonet
Planned --> halichores or flasher wrasse, possibly anthias or chromis, dwarf angel?

As far as corals go I want to be more picky with them and really plan out the aquascape and layout of the tank more so than I did with my first ones. I am planning on a mixed reef with softies and LPS, and possibly some montipora or easy acros later down the line.

I hope you will follow along with me throughout this process, and I am hoping to document and engage with more people than I did for my other tanks. I would like some feedback on my equipment and stocking list. Anything I should swap or think about would be amazing. I hope this tank achieves all my goals!

I would worry a bit about an angel if the corals are a priority, but there are also lots of people with full, successful reefs with angels swimming about. Luck of the draw, probably!

90 is a nice size!

RE: wrasses, I would get an assertive one with your current stocking. @Slocke @i cant think are good advisors for wrasse selection. I would worry about the flasher standing up to aggression from any of your fish, but particularly the hawk or clowns (although flashers could easily outpace the clowns if they become murderous). There are some assertive fairy wrasses, though, that might do well. RE: Halichoeres, I will defer to the other two, as I'm not sure what to expect with them when it comes to other fish being aggressive toward them. If it were me, I'd get a Radiant. @Slocke would a dusky work in that tank?

I agree that a good sized Halichoeres like a dusky or yellow would work best for wrasse and instead of a flasher I’d look at a fairy or three as they are tougher

Ended up finding a great deal on a reefer 350 that I am preparing to purchase. I am just very paranoid about the seal issues. I know they are more prone on the larger models, 450+. However… the guy I’m buying it from said that the tank was up for 8 years and has sent pictures the seal has 0 signs of pulling away or leaking. I feel as if the tank has been up that long it’s probably ok. I plan to perfectly level the tank and leak check before adding livestock after I move it. However it would be nice to make a brace if anyone can point me in a certain direction?

Deciding on what lights to buy for my new RSR350! I do not have the budget for something like radions or kessils. I plan to focus on softies and LPS, however, I might want montipora or others later. I have 1 Willis light and 1 AI prime from my old tanks, I was wondering if 1 more AI prime would do the trick, or if I should upgrade. Theres also a seller with 2 nicrew 150s nearby that I was thinking about. would love some input!
