I never have done a good job at taking pictures at specific times or really tracked growth, but going through old pictures today I had me thinking about the ups and downs of reef keeping. Things will seem to be dormant for a year and next thing you know, BAM, explosion of growth....and of course some bite the dust.

Tubbs Stellata end of November 2014

Hard to get a decent picture of it due to its position in the tank. It has encrusted and grew flat for a long time and just starting to grow upwards

Exactly 2 years ago, top left is an Orange Digitata and the poor looking whitish thing sticking out on the right is a Pink Lemonade (this was back when I thought all nutrients were bad and the water was stripped clean.) Only thing left from this pic is the AOG II's that can barely be seen on the bottom right. Originally, there was a small rock on the acrylic rod and planned on cutting it out.

The digitata has been a bane of my existence lately, I was shocked that it encrusted non stop and only recently in the past few months has it started to branch out as well...and quickly! Clearly, I did not cut that acrylic rod out lol. The Pink Lemonade has done well, so far it fights back the digitata but I still file it back at times. AOG II's spread like wild fire all over the rocks. I added more flow which they don't seem to like so maybe they'll slow down or regress...

Green Slimer frag that originally was standing straight up but fell and I just left it, end of December 2014

Not exactly a close up of it, but you get an idea of the growth. Again, maybe its my flow I don't know, but when it fell over it encrusted like mad before shooting up earlier this year. The teal acro next to it I honestly don't know where it came from. I keep going through pictures trying to figure out when I may have mounted it. I think its something I got a 2 or 3 years ago that bleached out died but just a tiny bit stayed behind on the rock and kept going...sloowwwwly, next thing I know Im feeding the tank more and BAM, one of the fastest things I have growing in the tank.

Birds of Paradise Birdsnest - fairly new, this was early January 2016

Turbo knocked it off its mount a month ago and sat on the sand for a week hence the bleached bottom, but fast grower nonetheless.

Thanks all! Its still a work in progress for sure. I was lucky enough to pick up an almost identical setup that I have (75g) except his equipment and stand (most important to the wife) is much nicer. Hopefully soon it will all get transferred, thinking about going bare bottom next. Already switched from MH/T5 combo to all T5's and swapped out a RW25 for a Gyre150.
