Nice goodies. What did your brother get? What exactly did you get in the photos? Everything or just specific things?

If it's healthy, it will. Not as pronounced as other brains like favias/favites, but it should have them at night. Even if it won't put its feeders out, I'd still keep it in low light/flow for a couple days and then move it into a bit higher flow with low light. Target feeding will allow it to recover faster, but as long as it isn't too far gone, it'll recover through filter feeding off of stuff in the water column.
i moved it to a nice location with low flow and a bit of shade for the rock work.. do they eat phytofeast?

Most definitely, though you may not see them right away since it is stressed. Here's some more information about this coral: Maze Brain Coral, Platygyra sp., Closed Brain Coral Information and Coral Pictures

thanks bro ill check that when i get home later.

Hope it bounces back for ya Jiffy - Make sure you come back and post some pics of the progress.

dont worry you will get ur fix, i mean pics, fiend.. lol

Most acans dont have trade names, those ones are pretty common.

oh lol well idk but they look kool under the blue LEDs.. should i place them high in the tank or low? and what should i not put them next to?

and i definitely got the better end of the stick, my brother is only 11 and i take care of his tank he hardly pays attention to it.. but he got a small frog spawn and a couple of low end zoa frags...

just those few corals in the sand bed, there is a couple left in his tank but it has a lil aiptasia infestation and i didnt want to remove anything with them on it because the peppermint is already in there.. he hasnt dont a great job yet though, but i should of bought a couple instead of just one.. they were only 2 bucks...

but what i really want out of there is all the amphipods, stomatellas, and turbos.. but i have no clue how i would go about getting the amphipods out, they are quick as hell..

Just a heads up but if you are trying to bring that Platgyras - You might want to thing about cutting up a 2 litter bottle and cover when you spot feed...your peppermint shrimp will steal food from it and possible hurt it more if the shrimp have easy access to it.

the mini clam was probably my favorite addition, now posted up above my other one.. =]

Tank looks good Jiffy - Nice collection of zoas and new clams!! Is that red titan macro algae??

thanks bro im trying to find a way to get rid of my lower end zoas to make room for the better ones im getting this week!!!!
yea somone sold it to me as red gracilaria, but i just bought some the other day and it looks nothing like that.. but is the algae beneficial for my tank?

lol ive already had a horrible experience with my cleaner shrimp and my GBTA, lol but peppermint is in my dads tank still.. when he is done with the job he is probably going to be flamehawk food in my brothers tank like ALL my other peppermints odesnt matter how much bigger they are than him.. muhhahhahahahahha lol

and my cleaner is target fed first, so he pretty much leaves the corals alone until he runs out of food then i squirt a lil his way.. lol

yea, those shrimp a rea real PITA. I miss my cleaner shrimp, but I would spend 30 minutes fighting them off so my corals could eat without food being ripped out of their mouths. The shrimp then got smart enough to make it in to the bottle when I tried that for a week.

lol the only time i put a bottle in my tank is when a shrimp is getting removed... no matter how many times you catch them like this they still go right into the bottle trap again and again.. lol they just cant resist the food offering from the holy one... :xd:
