20210602_185109.jpg ok I got this little guy all glued in place. There wasn't much left of the stem so I just trimmed off what I could with out taking off to much of it. I wound up putting it on a frag rock so it won't get knocked over. Let's see what happens.

Ya'll might have to for give my stupidity as I am not computer savvy. This is the first time being on any kind of forum. Heck I don't even have a Facebook page. Lol! So any help is much appreciated. So if I post something wrong or in the wrong spot or something please let me know.

Thank you. I'll post a pic later but the little guy seems to be doing pretty good. I believe it's getting a little bit bigger. Lol!

Ok here's an update on my leather finger. And as we can see he seems to be doing ok. I actually think that he has grown a little. Any thoughts peeps? Thanks

Ok so I've been thinking of using my old Blue Ocean skimmer that doesn't skim as a refugium tank. All I really need is to get a Led nanny light put my macro algae in it and let it run. Does anyone think this is a bad idea. I'm doing this because I don't have room for a sump system in my tank stand. Any ideas are greatly appreciated thanks.

Welcome to R2R!

Great to see you using this forum for advice on your refugium! Do recommend that you start a new thread with intriguing title like - DIY Refugium Advice. This way you will get more responses!

Definitely give it try. Don’t think you have any downside. Will be important to get the right flow through the skimmer.

Here’s a pic of my homemade refugium out of egg create for lights. Works well

i would try to buy a slower weaker pump and put it on its because the pump for my blue ocean that cam with it woul be way to fast for a refugium
Ok thanks for the heads up. I didn't think about that and that pump isn't adjustable so yeah I look into a smaller one.
Thanks again.
