A. Sarmentosa. Aquacultured variants?

So, I've had this piece for a little over a year now. Got it from my LFS as an unknown acro. And, despite all of the nice pieces with trade names I've had, it still remains a favorite. However, I don't think I've ever seen an aquacultured or named piece of sarmentosa. Seems like there should be somewhere?

Strawberry Fields is a named version I remember existing. But I don't remember which vendor named it.

It was way back so it may have been Atlantis

Thanks, these are great! The reef builders article I found of strawberry fields says A. Florida, but who cares. Still awesome!
Been a slow grower for me, but probably the toughest acro I've had. Been through a lot of noob mistakes and doesn't ever seem to care.
Makes me wonder why you don't hear about it more often.

This is the problem with comic book names, there is an older lineage of "strawberry fields acro that is A. sarmentosa, then there is another that is A. florida.

The A. florida we grow and sell is named "margaritaville" its pretty close

This makes sense. I always remember just calling it Strawberry Fields Sarmentosa without a vendor name.


@OP I think you don't see it as much bc it's not a rainbow and doesn't necessarily pop more under blue LED. And they're slower growing with a deep water look which went out of style.

Ppl want fast growing rainbows right now bc nobody plans on having the same tank for more than a couple yrs anymore IMO.

I dig having one, would def reccomend for variety.
