A thinking of getting CO2 out of water to increase PH

Hi All

First, sorry about my enter level English.

A can of soda water with full of CO2 in it, when we shake it, CO2 will come out very quickly.
If we shake tanke water, will CO2 come out as well?

If you guys have any ideas please share, many thanks!

No. Not the same, and you'll break your tank.

Ironically you would cause surface agitation and cause more CO2 from the air in your home into the water if you could shake the whole tank... I think

it should be the same theroy.
I would guess the difference between an aquarium and the soda water is the concentration of CO2 in the water. Soda water has so much that extra pressure is required to keep it all in solution.

I bet if you shake soda water to where we would consider it flat I bet there is still more CO2 than in a reef tank's water.

Yes, you are right, I did not consider pressure.

Soda has a massive amount of CO2, so that it is in equilibrium with more than 1 atmosphere of CO2. That is why bubbles form.

Aquarium water has several thousand times less CO2 and will never bubble.
