Welcome to R2R.

I did the same thing when i started my very first SW tank 4.5 months ago. Like you i'm also go big or go home and have a 7x2x2 190/200 gallon system and have gone straight into a reef.

Its been great fun and have really enjoyed the planning and challenges a reef provides.

Happy reefing

Welcome to R2R and the wonderful folks, information and help.
Patience, it is the big word around here, Reefing is patience to cycle, to watch things grow, to keep your tank balanced.
I recommend to everyone joining to create a tank build thread.
1. You get to see where you have started and how much you have grown in this hobby.
2. We love pictures and to see what your doing with your tank.
3. It’s a great learning tool for all of us to see what works and doesn’t . We learn great stuff from each other.
Lastly the only bad question here is the one not asked...

hi welcome to the reef going to love it here!!
lots of fun/info/fun/help/fun....
nice!!! ..build thread time;)

Yo yo Georgio, Welcome!
I love that you are starting with a large tank. From what I hear, larger tanks are potentially easier to deal with issues on. I’m excited for your project and would love to follow the build. As a carpenter, the idea of a built in custom tank is my ultimate dream. Go make it a reality. The fine folks here will offer plenty of help and support along the way. As a new enthusiast myself, I will be glad to learn alongside you.
Keep reefing hard yo!
