Seems to be something wrong with my acan who is normally happy and healthy. Seems like some of the heads have problems and the others do not. One on the bottom edge looks dark almost black ish on the edges. Any ideas what it could be? The red acan next to it is nursing back to health after a dip in revive on Sunday. I dipped the red acan and the rock with all the zoas. I don’t know if they were what was causing the the distress but I had these little white specks on the rocks around the zoas which I thought were eggs of some sort. Obviously something messing with the zoas. But they are looking good now. Had a lot on the law little brown bristle worms with red reds coming out of the rock and off the red acan when I dipped them. I’m not sure if that’s what was messing with the acan or not. I was thinking zoa eating nudi or maybe it’s just those dang bristle worms and now they started messing with the orange acan. Any ideas?

Round up the usual suspects:

peppermint shrimp
“Reef Caution” fish
Other inverts like that conch

I would go ahead and give the acans another round in a coral dip, preferably one that is iodine based.

Thanks for the reply. I may have have prematurely posted. I just got home from work and noticed him like that. He seems to be puffing back up now. Conc might have flopped down on him. I don’t have any shrimp, there’s only one fish in there melanarus wrasse. Other than that just the conc, an urchin, a few snails, one hermit.
