Which rock should I get?

The first one is what they call base rock because it does not have quite as much coralline algae sponges and Macroalgae and is put down first so it cheaper. The second one is what they call deco rock or ‘cherry’ pieces since they have more coralline sponges and Macroalgae so more money and is placed on top of the base rock As showpieces so to say. Since the tank is only ten gallons and you have to choose between the two go with the deco rock for 29.00 more. Money well spent. They offer two different ‘grades’ for larger builds where you can select more than one option and save some money

It would be one of the easiest tanks you can set up.

25% water changes weekly, low lighting like 100-150 par, medium water flow, heavy feedings 2-3 times a week and let it grow. You do not need a bunch of equipmemt or anything fancy.

All you need a is hob filter, carbon, sponge or filter floss, quality salt, quality light, medium flow. Nothing fancy at all for Acan's.

Aquaclear 30 or 50,the stock carbon in the bag for filtration.

AI Prime,Kessil A80 or similair for lighting (depending on tank size.)

Depending on tank size, maybe like. Hydor Pico 180 (MarineDepot and BulkReefSupply sell these for $25)

Qulaity food like LPS Max and Rotifers.

So for that tank,in the media basket, carbon and filter floss with the filter floss on top then carbon on the level below. Maybe some bio media like live rock or porous media.

A VCA RFG,and a Prime 16HD and you are good to go.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
