I was wondering what would be the best way to acclimate any new corals bought from under MH to LED's? If the LED's aren't running at full blast can I place them where I want?

Yes to a degree, especially if the MH was running a 20K lamp as their overall spectrum would be closer. You don't want to alter the LED intensity to much though if you already have Coral island in the system. Another and probably better route would be in using window screen (black vinyl type) over or above new corals in layers that can be removed over time.

Right now I'm acclimating all my existing corals to the LED's...so your saying when I get the LED's to full intensity that every time I introduce a new coral I should put some sort of light diffuser over top of the tank?

Yes if you are going to place anywhere but in lower level or shaded areas for a acclimation period. Some exemptions may be from well lit T5HO (6-8 lamp) tanks or high wattage 20K MH's. Screening is still about the easiest and most effective way.
