I decided to make one last attempt to get my clown into a community tank. I bought a snap together acclimation box for her and an anemone.

It came with a bunch of little pins to hold it all together.

Wouldn't I be better off of I grab a can of acrylic solvent out of my shop and put this together permanently?

With the exception of ease of storage; can any of you come up with a downside to this?

I don't see any downside to your plan. I would guess they made it that way to ship flat or decrease chances of breaking during shipping

Use whatever glue you have.
If you have acrylic solvent, use that, silicone use that.
If you want the acclimation box to be permanently setup, then I see no reason not to.

I have the same or similar that uses those locking tabs and small rubber bands. Sometimes falls apart during cleaning. Lost a few bands. I will probably glue mine with acrylic cement as well.
