I have a order coming this week from Reef Cleaners with snails and hermits. On the site it says DO NOT DRIP ACCLIMATE. Float the bag in your tank to get the animals used to the temperature in your aquarium. Is that how others do it when ordering from here?

Yes, that is the acclimation procedure to use. You can find the full guide here:

Some species will require righting, top snails, and halloween hermits.

Anything from the Trochidae order will benefit from being righted. That includes true top snails like Astraea, Tectus, and Trochus spp., as well as Turbinidae, like turbans and tegulas although the latter have less effort righting themselves. They can all do it technically, but it is a major expense of energy for true tops. (By top, the people who came up with this name are referring to the kind you would spin on its pointy end as some sort of game in the 1930s) Some exceptions in there but it is a good rule of thumb.
