Bought this piece a while back when it was just a bland grey stick with minimal polyp action, quite the turn around to now.

Any idea what this is?

Probably just a wild Marshall island piece like the Ora MIMF purple and green. Could also be similar to a purple tricolor valida.Are the tips purple or pink? They look purple to me but if they’re pink it could be something else. Can you get a pic under day light?

The structure, polyps and color look nothing like what was describe

If it’s pink, it’s probably a paletta pink tip :)

Blow the polyps back so we can see the coralites, especially on the new growth. Looks kinda like a hyanthicus or anthocersis or something similar, at least from the way it looks right now but the polyps are hard to see around.

Defiantly not a peletta pink tip, zoagarden, are you trying to make id’s from colors alone?

I’ve seen peletta’s with the same growth pattern and structures as his.

New growth in the tips looks more like mirabilis to me too. Post an update after it grows some more I am curious to how it turns out.
