After downsizing from a previous system I’ve decided to try out a standard 40 breeder and make it Acropora dominant. It’s a super simple set up, the tank is plumbed through the side to a 20 gallon long with a filter sock and a skimmer. Dosing 2-part and dripping Kalk. Temporary lighting is a 4x24 ATI Sunpower and two separate 39w bulbs. The system has been up and running since late February but corals are starting to encrust and grow pretty quick now.

I’m planning to update this system as it progresses

I will post most pics of the corals but for now here’s an FTS shot with IPhone

40b is six months old and I’m really pleased with how everything is doing. Lots of new growth coming in on corals and overall everything is looking happy.

Been sitting on this spath for over a year it’s one of the few corals I kept from my previous tank, and a very special one. Finally showing some signs of a growth spurt.

Sure, tank is a standard 40 breeder with a simple 20 gallon sump running one filter sock and a skimmer. The tank is lit by a 6x48w and for flow I have 2 MP 40s. For now I’m just hand dosing 2-part and adding some Kalk to my RO top off water while maintaining 20% weekly WC.
