Some of my acropora seem to be bleaching with reduced PE but only on the top where the light is hitting them. The par is nothing crazy in most of these spots (<250-300) and only some acros are doing it. Millepora seem fine but tenuis and a couple others are having this reaction. Many of them are growing just fine but it is progressively getting worse. Only changes/issues I am aware of are that I have been very slowly increasing my nitrates and phosphates from 0 to 1ppm and 0.03 ppm over the past six months and that my tin was high on an ICP test that was probably caused by a rusty MP40 wetside. I have had a run-in with AEFW about 9 months ago a little after I started acros but this doesn't seem to match the bite marks I saw previously.

Before people ask on water chemistry, alk is kept between 9.3-9.5 dKh, Calc ~400 and mag ~1400. A trident monitors it and I occasionally cross-check with salifert. For lighting I had gen 3 radions running AB+ on an 8 hour photoperiod and swapped to gen 5s this past weekend hoping it would help.

I have been running carbon since I had a leather get an infection and need to be cut and started cuprisorb to help lower the tin. I also started having trouble with some of my euphyllia, namely torches, for no apparent reason with them receding at the base inexplicably. I have heard of tin causing this in euphyllia so I attributed it to that, but maybe it is related or I have some sort of pest eating my coral.

I can't find any examples or pictures where the acros are bleached in a similar fashion but I have attached a picture of one of mine as an example.

The three tenuis in this image are turning white where the light hits but the PC rainbow encrusting in the top left is perfectly fine (except that it has decided not to branch). This is an older picture and they have only gotten worse.

My sunset acro is doing the same thing. Each acro is different when it comes to par. I'm going to move my sunset down in PAR. Maybe you should as well? If it is easy to move, might as well give it a shot.

Looks like a result of alk spike, low CA or water flow issue
What are your readings:
Mag
Ca
Alk
Salinity
Temp
Phosphate
Nitrate
Ph

Moving didn't seem to help much with the few I did but that's what I will try next. Some acros in lower light are doing the same thing so it is a bit confusing

Water flow is possible but polyps seem to be moving pretty well. Alk spike is unlikely. I have the trident measuring every 6 hours and nothing showed there. Worst daily change was about .2 dKh in a day.

Mag: ~1400
Calc: ~400
Alk: 9.4-9.5
Salinity: 1.024-1.025
Temp: 78-79 F
Phosphate: .03
Nitrate: 1
pH: 7.93-8.24 (peak during day, low at night)

Could be burnt tips because your Alk is high and nutrients are low,].
They were actually doing just as well if not better when my nitrates and phosphates were bottomed out. Nutrients are no longer zero, alk isn't that high, and its mostly the branches rather than the tips that are pale

I'll post some pictures tonight of the same acros. The pictures in the original post are three weeks old

Second to that. Corals look fine on your picture
The homewrecker and the green tenuis aren't that bad but the WD is pretty pale and the acro on the far left is too.

This is a bonsai acro. Was super happy and growing well, then RTNed a little bit about 6 months ago. Lost its color and hasn't come back despite encrusting just fine.

I've moved this guy to many different spots in the tank. Same issue with the paling out no matter where it is placed.
