I made this to keep from having eggcrate in my frag tank. I did the layout on a piece of card board and separated each hole with just enough room to maximize the surface space.

It's not the prettiest, but it does the job. It was made for a 20g long frag tank and has a little room around each side for cleaning the glass.

It holds 240 frag plugs.

LOL I know I did it the old fashion way! It took like 3 hrs! This was a spare piece of acrylic that I had lying around.

Thanks for the comments.

Rev---That is sweet!! How much for a 3'x5' piece shipped to 15632? :D

If possible---could you also poke little holes between the plug holes to help with circulation on such a large piece!! Oh, and can you ship it Monday? Cool??!!

J.k---That's a thing of beauty Rev! I don't love eggcrate---and that looks very nice and clean!

Sweet, but looks pretty close together for puting frag plugs on each hole next to each other?

I believe he measured them perfectly so he could fit whichever plugs he uses in the holes... So there should be enough room to put one in each hole

Great idea Dave - I just happen to be going to lowes on my lunch break - I see a piece pf acrylic in my future - It looks so much cleaner than egg crate does. Nice job of "thinking outside the box" rev!!

Thanks you all.

Hey Pat I will have it at the swap to see. I must admit, if was tough just using a regular drill.
