Actinic question

What is the difference between 420nm and 470nm PC's? Is one deeper blue than the other? Which one makes color pop more?

I may be wrong but I was under the impression that 420 nm is what is considered true actinic, and that is what makes the flourescent colors pop the most.

420 is purple - 460/470 is blue

420 will make the greens glow - 460 will make the oranges glow

420 appears dim - 460 usually appears pretty bright

i use both (vho & t5, different tanks). :D
