Here is my 180 mix reef, I started it in 02-07-2013. I started reef keeping in 2004.

Nice tank! Do you do anything to your sand bed? Do you measure nitrates and phosphates? I don’t see many successful tanks this old so am curious. Thanks!

I mainly just test ALK, Cal, Mag. I run a calcium reactor, so if my alk is 8.6 then my cal 450. I don't really test the nitrates and phosphates. I do run a very large skimmer though. Sand bed is not very deep, so just use a turkey baster to keep it clean. I do weekly 20 gal water changes and I use Instant Ocean salt.
