Hey all im thinking of adding a 3rd radion xr15 g6 to my 4x2x2 tank. Its been about a year now running 2 blue g6s on the tank and i feel like i would like the tank to be brighter and have a more whiter look. It is a mixed reef and i would like to up the par abit since i am starting to add abit more sps. My question is would adding 1 xr15 pro in the centre and having the 2 blues on the outside work ?Id probably keep running the blues on the ab+ schedule then just up the whites on the pro in the middle till i get a look that i like. Would one xr15 pro be strong enough to show more white ? Would a xr30 pro instead of a xr15 be better or would that be overkill on par ? I do like the really blue look in the morning and evening so i dont think i want to get rid of the blues but would like a whiter look during the day.

Anyone running a mix or know anyone running a mix id appreciate your input.

Never ran a mix but on my 80 I ran 4 xr15 blues.
The tank was run on ab+ and has a white look, imo.

I just posted a thread about mixing 2 pros with 2 blues. The consensus seemed to be that it wasn’t a good idea and would look weird. I decided to go with all Pros, based on advice I got here. Search for my threads and you’ll see it.

Yea i decided to just stick with another blue xr15 its really helped light up the tank
You need 3 for a 4 foot tank. XR15 lights are weak par lights. Mine run at 100% intensity.

Do you run ab+ schedule ? I heard they were weak but then read that people try to run a white spectrum with the blues so im wondering if thats why people think they are "weak". I am running 3 on my 4 foot now yea.

Yes AB plus schedule. I have 2 lights over a 3 foot tank and was shocked how low the par meter registered. Once I increased to 100% intensity my corals took off. You have better overlap with 3 lights so you may not need intensity at 100.
