Hello I was wondering if I could keep 5 different halichoeres in my tank?
Dimensions: 72.3x29.5x25.6

Halichoeres cosmetus
Halichoeres leucoxanthus
halichoeres trispilus
Halichoeres biocellatus
Halichoeres iridis

If not could I keep at least 3 of them together? Would love to have these wrasses in the tank. Currently I have a Exquisite wrasse. Cleaner wrasse, and mccosker flasher wrasse.

Thanks for any input.

Honestly, I wouldn’t see why you couldn’t. I mean, in a 180G tank (5’x2’x2’) I have…

As you can see, I have a lot of wrasses from the same genus some are even quite close in relation, if not the same species.
So I hope this helps :)

awesome! Well So the triple spot, adorned, and yellow/purple wrasse are playing nice. The red lined wrasse was an ******* so he got removed sadly. Good thing i have a 75G so i placed him in there.

How u keeping that many fish? Just curios cause in my tank i have around 28 fish also and my nitrates keep going up to 50. I just started a refugium and got rid of 2 fish so hoping that helps, but these huge water changes are a lot to be doing on this system lol. tanks roughly 275g total. I did a 90G water change and nitrates barely dropped from 50 to 38 and slowly creeping back up. Been doing 10G water changes every 3 days.

Honestly, I don’t chase numbers - my corals are happy so I’m happy. Aggression between my fish is low - I keep a fair amount of rock in so they all get along due to that.
Honestly, there’s not much other reason why I’m so successful other than luck and picking the right fish I love :)
