This for all the people using a kalk stirrers , do use a PH probe? Is it worth the extra $150-$200 cost does it help that much? I’d love to hear what you think waste of money or good add on

Not really. I have one on my apex for my avast marine. Only real benefit is when my kalk is getting low in my reactor. If you stir regularly and regularly top up your kalk, you can save some money

I have mine on for about 4 hours a day (spread throughout the day) and it keeps it pretty well saturated. If you are running 24 hours a day, the only benefit would be to know if you were running low on kalk in the bottom of the reactor. If you committ to filling it up with regular maintenance, keep the money on the ph probe.

So I don’t need to stir for 24/7

Nope. I was low a week ago and topped it up. Here is my apex schedule

OSC 025:00/025:00/070:00 Then ON

Roughly on for 25 minutes every 2 hours.

I got this Milwaukee Controller/Probe $75 and it helps to know I need to add/change Kalkwasser.
Definitely not need but nice to have!

pretty sure you can use a milwaukee PH probe that is 40$ for the apex for the kalk. Correct me if I am wrong
