Adding Shimmer to T5s

I already have a T5 system on one of my tanks that I want to add shimmer to with LED. The question is I dont know what LEDs to go with. I am in between Reefbrite Mini Mag LED White or the Ecoxotic LED stunner strips? Or is there any other suggestions. I also dont want the LEDs to be too powerful and to burn my LPS corals since this is a LPS tanks. Thanks guys

Reefbrites over stunner strips anyday if it was me. My 24" all blue bar adds alot of shimmer with the 4 24" t5's

I'm running 6 T5 bulbs over my frag tank. Only 1 Reefbrite all blue will make a visible difference. add a dialable controller, you can even use it as a nice moon light too. Highly recommended.

I know that the kessil led pendants provide the most shimmer I have ever seen. Almost to the point that it does not look appealing to me.

Yessir, the whites do indeed provide the most shimmer. At least as far as my untrained eyes are concerned...

Is there a dimmable controller out for this already? I have the neptune apex but didnt think there was a module available yet for the reefbrite

reefbrite will be releasing a controller "soon", from what i've been told.

I added a ReefBrite to a 4 build T5 fixture on my Desktop Nano Build specifically to get the shimmer and a small PAR boost - Works perfectly. All white emitters do create more shimmer, but I still get plenty (easily visible with the T-5s on) using the 50%W/50%B ReefBrite.

do you guys think an all blue fixture would still add a shimmer? or would a 50/50 be best?

I tried the all blue and got hardly any shimmer.

Does anyone know if the white bulbs put out more or less or equal par as the blue do?
