I saw this tes eel for sale at the fish store for 150$ and he’s been there for awhile so I ended up buying it. Right now he is in a qt tank fully closed off. I know a 180 will be small when he gets bigger but for now he’s small. His tank mates that I was curious how he’d work out with are the dog face puffer which is like 4”, my French angelfish my bird wrasse and my scopas tang. And btw i asked them and they said they’d take him back. What have i gotten myself into…

Tessa usually needs a tank to itself usually. They are very aggressive s and will eat your fish listed. Its one of the eels that consistently eats tank mates no matter how well fed you keep it. Especially in a 180. I would get it put now before it starts eating your fish.

Amazing eels (morays grow pretty fast) so if you want to keep him maybe look into getting him his own tank 🙂 if I had the space for another tank I would have a tessa in it 😂
