So I rented a PAR meter and mapped out my tank prior to adding corals. As I’m adding coral I’m realizing I want more of a blue spectrum to bring out more fluorescents. If I decrease whites by 10%, and then increase blue by 10%, would that equate to the same PAR levels? I already returned the PAR meter and would rather not too have to rent it again. And yes, I know I would need to acclimate the corals too the new spectrum.

It depends on the power and number of led’s of each color.

But I wouldn’t worry too much about trying to hit a specific PAR number, for most corals as long as you make the adjustment slowly they will take just about any light. I would recommend turning down the white down and raising the blue by a little each week. If you have a light with an acclimation mode, it makes it easier.
