AEFW fenbendazole flakes treatment

So yesterday pirate reefs posted a video talking about he and some other reefers have been using fenbendazole flakes to actually cure AEFW. In the video he mentioned it must be flakes only because the powder is too strong. However when it came to dosing he mentioned “a tiny pinch” per day and continued the treatment for two months and apparently it cleared all flat worms.
Now pirate reefs corals did not mention the size of his display tank, however did warn against it could harm softies and inverts.
I came here looking for more
Experience with it. Has anyone else tried this?

Ok just popped a pinch in last night . It's 12 hrs later..shrimp crabs. Snails fish corals even shroom appear to be ok. 120 + 17g frag w 20 gallon sump. Dose weight 0.5g.

It works to “dose” fenbendazole as well. I haven’t done it but several reefers here in Sweden has had success with it in terms of clearing out AEFW. However some report strange prolonged instability of the tank afterwards. It stands to reason that it will probably kill of more than the flat worms.

The flakes might be a better option albeit much slower acting. If I understand the idea correctly the aim is to have the coral polys ingest the food and accumulate fenbendazole in their tissue making them toxic to the worms.

That is the theory. I am doing in to frag tank which is connected to main system. All acros are currently there. They have extended their fluff over night. Spaghetti worm still alive.

From what I’ve read and noticed lost some zoas. Bounce mushrooms look a bit bothered and also clove polyps are closed up. 1 week in with the flakes. 117g total volume system. I did throw some GAC in today to I may have been pinching a bit too much in there lol.

Just about lost my firework clove polyps, however that is to be expected as people use it to rid blue clove polyps pests
