After 8 years

My system crashed about 8 years ago and I finally got the knowledge and heart to start it again. Could really use a ato, skimmer and some return pumps to get it all together and maybe some circulation pumps cause I’m starting a 55 gallon build and will use my Red Sea 130D as a quarantine system. The 55 will also have a 34 gallon Trigger system refugium hence the need for a skimmer and return pumps. What would be a good starter light not only for the 55 main display but also for the refugium section of the sump?

Welcome to R2R.
I use a Kessil H80 for the refugium section in my Trigger System 36 Elite, and it works well. I know there are a lot of people on here that have been using a grow light from Amazon with great success...hopefully one of them will chime in and post a link to it for you.

...and what you want to be able to keep in the tank. Fish, soft corals, LPS, and SPS all have different lighting requirements. Good luck with the new tank and welcome to R2R!!!

glad you got going again. You will find plenty of support and help here. Another good idea on lights is to check out the marketplace for used lamps. Never know what pops up.
