Yeah it’s debug from collector corals. This is my travel 36” frag tank for swaps. I just set it up when I get in new corals. I’ll eventually buy a smaller one that’s not 20 gallons to do the dip in.

There’s dip calls for 1 drop/liter for 8 hours. Wipes out any whit bugs or pest and is very gentle on the corals. Prior to going into the display they will get a KCL dip for 5 minutes as well. Ideally they would just go into a QT tank after the long dip but that’s a year away from happening.

Reef Topia is where it’s at for your inverts. These are 100 medium blue legs and 30 scarlet hermits. Most of these went into the mixed reef pond. Plus they ship directly from key west Florida ! My favorite city to visit

July Project is an entire tank move. currently have 2 minor leaks in the acrylic tank. The corals will be temporary relocated for ~6 months until my new house is completed. I have three 8x4 fiberglass tanks on order that should arrive in the next 2 weeks and the corals will move into one of those tanks along with my Liverock sump to keep stability.

Yeah it makes me nervous but it should all work out fine. I just ordered all the plumbing supplies for the tanks. Hoping within 12 months my new coral room will be completed with plenty of room to expand the collection.

I typically don’t make build threads or long post but I’m going to start a place where I can compile my collection and answer any questions anyone may have.

Tank: 8x3x1 grow out flat

Lighting: 4x 250 watt 14k halides, tons of Reefbrite xhos, and 2 reefbreeder photons

The big 3: Dos pumps feed in between 3.5-4 gallons of saturated kalk a day, BRS soda ash, calcium chloride, and magnesium chloride/sulfate

Nutrients: Nitrates between 20-40 and phosphates between 0.2 and 0.4. I dose 12 mL of ammonium bicarbonate daily to keep nitrates up. Phosphates seem to fall in line with feedings.

Traces: stopped awhile ago and went back to regular water changes with aquaforest salt.

Food: I do a probiotic bacteria mixture with aminos, enzymes, and min s coral food. I feed this maybe twice a week at most

Thank you for sharing this! Just happened upon your thread. It’s not typical to see one purposely keeping their nutrients so high, but if you’re lighting is high and keeping up with Allk and stuff, then you’re doing well! It’s super impressive!

Higher nutrients have been a struggle lately. I’m dosing nitrate, phosphate, and ammonium daily to keep nitrates above 10 and phosphates above 0.1. On a plus side I get to feed the tank heavy and the corals love it.

Ammonium dosing is 25 mL a day. Nitrate dosing is 50-60 mL and phosphates dosing is 70-80 mL

That’s an impressive amount of dosing nutrients, haha. Wowee. But you’re not feeding solid foods, right?

I tested my nutrients yesterday, PO4 is 0.35 ppm, NO3 about 25-30 ppm. So I turned my lights up 10% and reduced my solid food feeding quite a bit. I hadn’t tested in a couple months, but recently stirred up my sump to get better flow for my macro algae growth. Noticed a change in the last couple weeks with acros having recessed polyps, reason for me testing stuff

New temporary tanks are arriving Friday or Monday! Still no plan to move stuff over until first of August. The zoa/lps tank is doing amazing as well. Seeing great growth and coloration under the meridians.
