I made the mistake of ordering the ai hydra before I knew you were required to own the controller or director to operate it properly. my hastily purchase proved to be a mistake. should of choked up the extra hundred for the HD. anyone have problems with the director? tried trouble shooting with one of their tecs today and eventually he agreed to mail me one. im doubtful a 'working' one is going ro help

I've owned several generations of AI (SOL, Vega, Hydra). The Director works mostly OK. Mine occasionally would loose connectivity to the network and stop controlling the lights. Not sure why, but I have to unplug and 'reboot.' I don't know if they are still doing any enhancement to the Director. It has the same features as when the released it, so makes me think not.

I have had mine for almost a year and works fine except for the wireless dongle would quit working sometimes. At first I thought it was the director but I mounted it next to my wireless router and used a Ethernet cable and so far for 3 months it has not lost a connection.
