Your settings are going to depend on the size of your tank and the corals you are trying to grow. It will also depend on the "color" you are after as everyone has their own preference.

I’ve looked up these settings as well, the only problem is the edge lights don’t have a red and green channel like previous hydras.

They just won’t be in the settings. AI eliminated separate green and red LED and integrated them into the white LEDs. I currently use saxbys settings on my coral grows and they only have blues and whites. I’m assuming his settings would look similar if not better with the Edge

I’m getting my brackets for them tomorrow. I’ve been waiting 3 weeks for them cus brs oversold them. Once I get them mounted I’ll let you know my intensity and the details on my tank and height with pictures. I have soft and LPS so the par I plan on being around is around 100-150. I don’t have access to a per meter so I’m going have to go by review videos and charts provided by AI

Made my way back to this. Decided to use the Mobius Solar Blue setting. I have 2 Hydra flex 44HD on a Marine X. 110.4 the tank’s dimensions are 47.2" L x 19.7" W x 21.7" H. Lights are mounted with Hydra flex arms. And about 6-8in above waterline. I run them at around 45% intensity and have mostly LPS. Corals look bright and happy so it looks like they are getting around 100-150 par. Most I will push it is around 50-55% I believe anything more than that I’d be hitting around 200+ par, based off the vids I’m seeing and ChatGBT advice on intensity

oh man, I have 2 44’s in my 75 gallon. I’ve been running the Saxby settings from the AI website. They’ve been running at 90-100% intensity. Maybe I should lower it down a lot lol

So far so good corals looking happy so far. My corals don’t need much light cus they are soft and LPS I’m going to gradually get them to around 55% intensity. Reefdude did a par review. He has 68HD and runs at 55% with them mounded low like 6in above. Keep in mind the 68 is stronger/has more par then the 44HD. So if you’re looking to get his par readings have your 44HD above 55%

Just did a par test with a Vabira tester which Randy recommended and reviews praise it’s accuracy to higher end models. At 80% these are my results, the 44HD may be way less powerful compared to the 68HD. I had my settings way lower than they should have been. I had a LPS tank. Although my corals looked fine at 55% and getting over 50 par even at the bottom, I will be running these lights a lot higher. My hydra on the left is slightly tilted cus I have a Cap that needs a bit more light. I will eventually have these lights at 85% getting mostly 120-150 throughout the tank and the Monty should be close to 200

Need to understand that the 68 and 44HD's both contain 10 Cool White and 2 Warm White for a total of 12. By dimming this channel to 5% you are going to lose some PAR and/or punch.

To see how much that translates to retake your par measurements at 100% then slowly ratchet back the whites to your spectrum preference and see how the numbers compare.

They are phenomenal lights once you get them dialed in with a par meter. My corals grow very quick with these lights. Just know bumping up white will increase par way more than any other color. I’m currently running mine at 70% intensity from 9am-10pm I use the old solar blue setting. But tweaked it to my liking. White goes from 30-35%. Sandbed gets around 75 par and all my corals on the rock work are getting 80-140 par. Most of my corals are LPS, couple soft and some low light sps. This light is very capable of getting 300+ par throughout the tank if white is bumped and the light is mounted low but yea if you want a sps tank you’ll be better off with the 68HD

Hi Mike. I’m new to these lights so am tinkering a little. The screen shot you posted with showing the power usage, how does that relate to the screen shot you showed with the light program. In other words your first screen shot shows the Mobius Hydra Edge light program and intensities but I am a little confused how that relates to the next screen shot showing light percentages. Would i be correct in saying that if you ran your lights at 100% then the percentages shown on the second screen shot would be the intensities of the various light colours? If you can explain the 2 different screen shots and how they relate that would be appreciated.

The images of the readings show PAR the light intensity in various parts of the tank that the corals will be receiving. The light setting corresponds to these readings. If I bump up white for example these par readings will be a lot higher even though the intensity is the same. White light is a higher spectrum compared to blue. If I were to bump up blue for example the par readings would be slightly higher. The post basically shows the readings you would get using the setting I provided with the height and dimensions of my tank. If I were to bump up the setting to 100% intensity my par readings would be around 30% higher. My latest reply just shows the setting I use now, I decided to bump up whites and turn the the intensity a bit, I just think it looks a bit better. The par readings are similar in both settings
