Hey guys

Just adjusted my settings to the recommended BRS video here:
https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/vide...lluminate-a-sps-reef-tank-brstv-investigates/

Any recommendations on sunrise / sunset and ramp time ?

I have a 65g Red Sea with mostly zoas, shrooms, anemones, Duncans and a few Montiporas.

How long should peak light be at a day?
I have my peak for about 4 hours, because i read a study a few years back but dont remember the source.

Anywho. I've seen different tanks with peaks to be between 4 to 8 hours and the corals do great, they are very adaptive. Some more than others obviously.

Worst decision to mirror my settings to someone else’s before doing research... melted a lot of my corals

I wish there was a legit post on this

These settings did not work for you? Did you use the acclimation mode? I was debating using the BRS settings on my 13.5 gallon, but the wattage and those percentages seemed like they'd be way too much for my little tank.

I went down to about 1/2 of the BRS number [50-60's in the blues] and then set acclimation mode for 2 weeks starting @ 50%

I'm hoping that this works okay and keeps my BTA in place [probably not =(]

Creating a strong bulwark: Did you consider floor support for your reef tank?
