Hey guys,

In the process of planning a 4ft 120 gallon aquarium. I'm very keen on the Aquatic Life T5 Hybrid Fixtures but my budget doesn't really allow for the cost of a 4ft Fixture + 2 (maybe even 3) LEDs all together (Still deciding on Kessil A360 or AI Hydra 32s). So I'm thinking while I'm just getting started with the tank and will slowly be introducing livestock I could probably just get one part of the hybrid for now and then add the other in later when I'm focusing on coral growth (I reckon in 6-9 months time) and not the initial setup.

My question is.... Would you reccomend the T5 fixture first or the LEDs?

Thanks

LED’s most of the time are more powerful and better for coral growth. T5’s add nice color to the tank and are more a supplement unless they are in excess. Personally I’d get the T5’s and wait. Fish don’t require a broad light spectrum to survive. Once you get the LED’s turn them down low so you don’t shock them fish with sudden extremely bright light. Then slowly increase them to grow corals.
