Algae ID.......??????

So my buddy has been trying to figure out what type of algae this is and how to get rid of it, if anything will eat it. Thought i'd give you guys a shot ;) The ones in the pic are about and inch and a half long. Thanks :)

Neomeris annulata aka Spindle Weed. Calcium based, not much will eat it

Info passed on, thanks again. He was pretty bummed when I first told him he will probably always have some level of them around ;) This should brighten his day a bit.
