I posted a few days ago and didn’t get any helpful responses. Can someone please help me identify this algae? I scrubbed my tank and did a water change Friday evening and now it has all just come back so quickly.
Is this GHA or bryopsis? Or is it something else by chance? I want to appropriately approach treating but need some clarification on identification first. Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.

If you can peel it off and it forms a mat like base, or it seems difficult to get off of rocks by pulling it..possibly turf algae. Water changes are just a temp fix imo, you will have to find the food source for the algae and remove it. Check your source water and make sure it is 0 tds. It would be helpful to test your water for nitrate and phosphate. If they are high then you will want to add filtration to remove it, gradually. Reducing light may help, but again if there is food for the algae it will grow. Getting some fish that graze on algae can also help. If you have a sump some type of refugium with macro algae can help.
