Hi,

Just about to do a water change a noticed my stored RODI water has algae floating around in it and also noticed the TDS of that water is 6, so I won’t be using it.

I store the barrels outside and if it’s hot, they are in direct sun. Will that cause algae to grow or is it going to be down to something in the water?

I can’t be sure the TDS wasn’t 6 when I made this barrel, but I’m making one now and will test once it’s finished, for now I’m trying to work out what is causing the algae in the barrel.

0.3 Nitrate and 0.06 Phosphate according to my Hanna checkers.

Time to change the filtration components I guess.
